The Current Participating Team Members

Tom Cornell, Team Manager
Under Tom's sage advice and supervision, the Yellow Shirt Racers have developed into a very competitive assemblage of R/C Pilots. "Doc" Cornell has made the YSR a force to be reckoned with.

Don Adkins #23
"Point Man" for all racing related activities in the Tri-County R/C Club. Don has the deserved nickname of "Race Time." Don placed 2nd at the H.A.M. Premiere Club40 race.

Victor Allen #35
Victor has become a regular member of the YSR team. His consistent style makes him a respected competitor.

John Casdia #67
Flying the "Dragon Lady" in his first ever race, John had two 2nd place heats. Recently switching to the Super Tigre 40 should help him reach the "gold" race.

Jay Golden #17
New to the YSR, Jay showed his stuff at the Lady Lake meet. He found that pylon racing is
"All in the Turns."

Peter Golden #11
All the way from England, Peter joined the YSR for the 2008 season. He placed a respectable 2nd in his heat. Landing gear failure brought his racer to a premature halt.

George Derewenko #59
George is on sabbatical from Club40 racing. We look forward to his return

Jerry Dittmar #75
Known for his electric powered R/C aircraft, this racer has a multitude of heat wins. Flying his racer Rascal, Jerry finished 2nd at the OMFC March race. At Gainesville, he placed 1st overall!

Tom Marr
#31
When not out RV'ing, Tom joins the YSR on the circuit. His consistency rounding the pylons will lead to a place in the gold race.

Paul McGuckin #20
Paul walked away with Third Place at the H.A.M Club Premiere Race. His win adds to the string of awards for the YSR in 2008.

Chuck Roedel #86
Chuck is now # 86 due to the change to 2.4 gHz radio equipment. His new racer "Lil' Teddy" is undefeated. Chuck had a 3rd Place overall at the Southern Eagles race and 2nd at Gainesville. He placed 1st at the Dunnellon event with the new aircraft.

Ralph Rogers #73
2008 has Dr. Ralph with new numbers on the wing. Precision and skill are a specialty for this Yellow Shirt Racer. Flying his racer "Joe Btfsplk", he placed 3rd overall at Gainesville!

Art Silver # 31b
"Eagle Eye" Silver is looking forward to a winning season. Art's new racer is the fastest of the YSR aircraft for 2008.

Mike Sherlock # 48
Mike had his first heat win at the H.A.M Club Premeire event in Hernando county. He's a great competitor.

Chris Wieland #25
"Ben Hur" Wieland is on sabbatical from Club40 racing. We look forward to his return.

Honorary Members

Teddy Kowalski
Crew Chief for # 86. Ted is known for his genius in the "behind the scenes" operations at Captain of the Clouds Racing. Teddy's aeronautical engineering mastery has made the Captain's racer, "Lil' Teddy," a winner.

Russell Stricker
His show of Sportsmanship at the H.A.M. Club40 event makes Russ a Honorary Member of the YSR.
He loaned Chuck Roedel his "back up" ship after #21's altercation with a pylon in the first heat of the day. Russ is a Class Act!
